Expedia says Rathi Murthy and Sreenivas Rachamadugu, respectively its CTO and senior vice chairman of core companies product & engineering, are now not employed on the journey reserving firm.
In a press release shared with TechCrunch and other publications, Expedia mentioned Murthy and Rachamadugu are “now not employed at Expedia Group” as a consequence of an unspecified “violation of firm coverage.”
“We’re actively looking to fill these roles and stay assured in our expertise, technique, and staff,” the corporate mentioned. “On account of confidentiality, we won’t be making any additional feedback on the matter.”
Murthy’s and Rachamadugu’s departures seem like surprising. Murthy spoke to TechCrunch about the new AI-powered features introduced earlier this week, and he or she reportedly gave a presentation on these options at an Expedia convention with enterprise companions.
“All through my profession, I’ve carried out myself with a dedication to the best degree of integrity,” Murthy mentioned in a press release. “I’m happy with my work at Expedia and have endeavored always to serve the perfect pursuits of the corporate. I sit up for sharing my story on the applicable time and setting the document straight.”
They each joined Expedia in 2021, coming from TechCrunch’s then-parent firm Verizon Media (now Yahoo).
This isn’t the corporate’s solely latest management change. Ariane Gorin, who was announced as Expedia Group’s new CEO in February, formally took over this week.
This put up has been up to date with a press release from Rathi Murthy.
