Expedia says Rathi Murthy and Sreenivas Rachamadugu, respectively its CTO and senior vp of core providers product & engineering, are not employed on the journey reserving firm.
In an announcement shared with Bloomberg and elsewhere, Expedia mentioned Murthy and Rachamadugu are “not employed at Expedia Group” because of an unspecified “violation of firm coverage.”
“We’re actively looking out to fill these roles and stay assured in our expertise, technique, and workers,” the corporate mentioned. “As a result of confidentiality, we is not going to be making any additional feedback on the matter.”
TechCrunch reached out to Expedia for affirmation and extra remark. We’ll replace this put up if we hear again.
Murthy’s and Rachamadugu’s departures look like sudden. Murthy spoke to TechCrunch about the new AI-powered features introduced earlier this week, and he or she reportedly gave a presentation on these options at an Expedia convention with enterprise companions.
They each joined Expedia in 2021, coming from TechCrunch’s then-parent firm Verizon Media (now Yahoo).
This isn’t the corporate’s solely latest management change. Ariane Gorin, who was announced as Expedia Group’s new CEO in February, formally took over this week.
